We have recently developed a board game named “Quebec is Hiring” to promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion through identifying unconscious biases. It is a fun based cooperative game whose main objective is to engage in healthy conversations about biases we hold; consciously or unconsciously; and help in creating real-change in the recruitment process, work culture and in real life as well.
The game “Quebec is Hiring” can serve as a great resource for organizations and their staff to understand unconscious biases and how theycan impact the recruitment process. The gamecan be used both as a team building exercise andas a training tool for hiring practices. While the scenario of the game focuses on the hiring process, it also allows understanding the impact of biases in any scenario – being it for a loan request in a bank, as a customer in a shop, as a student in an educational institution, during
commute in public transport, or any public space for that matter.
